Albion fights for its customers

In a bid to control escalating water costs and to encourage responsive supplier relationships, UPM-Kymmene asked Albion Water to explore alternative water service provision for its paper mill at Shotton on Deeside. Albion pursued a range of cost saving initiatives in parallel with replacing Dwr Cymru as water undertaker in 1999. Albion's relationship with Shotton Paper has evolved over the years to meet developing supply and production objectives.
Albion continues as standard-bearer for competition in the water industry and is actively seeking an expansion of its area to deliver greater benefits to the paper mill and neighbouring industry.
