Knowle Village, Hampshire

In July 2009, Albion pioneered an innovative water services solution at Knowle Village near Fareham in Hampshire. Working in partnership with the developer Berkeley Homes, water industry regulators and local residents, Albion secured an inset appointment to provide sewerage services to the village which not only set prices below that of the local monopoly provider, but maximised the use of existing assets, minimised the carbon footprint and enhanced the site’s bio-diversity.

Albion Water has now embarked on a major investment programme within this community-based solution to improve the sewerage infrastructure and reliability for Knowle’s domestic and commercial customers.

Your residential development

The Knowle model is now tried and tested and offers a practical way forward for domestic or commercial developers seeking a sustainable solution which avoids a high capex, high carbon connection to local water, sewerage or storm water infrastructure. If your development is facing any water or waste water challenges, please tell us about them at info@albionwater.co.uk.

The Albion pledge

Whilst genuine competition and choice between suppliers is now something that every consumer of energy and telecoms can take for granted, the same cannot be said for water. We at Albion are at the forefront of pushing for greater choice and will continue to argue the case with Government, regulators and consumer groups.
